Dr. Ajith Joseph K

Principal Scientist & Executive Director, Nansen Environmental Research Centre - India

Dr. K. Ajith Joseph is the Executive Director and Principal Scientist at the Nansen Environmental Research Centre–India (NERCI) and an Executive Member of CEREM. A Physical Oceanographer with a Ph.D. from Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT), he has over two decades of experience in oceanography, climate research, and Earth observation. He leads and collaborates on several national and international research projects funded by the Ministry of Earth Sciences, ISRO, the European Union, and the Research Council of Norway. A recognized research guide at KUFOS, Dr. Joseph has authored over 75 scientific publications and actively contributes to ocean and climate research, remote sensing, and capacity building.
