The AIC-KUFOS Incubation Program supports founders building innovative solutions in fisheries, aquaculture, marine biotechnology, ocean technology, and allied blue-economy sectors.

Selected teams receive dedicated workspace, expert mentoring, technical validation, access to laboratories, business development support, and introductions to industry and funding networks.

The program is milestone-driven, helping ventures move from problem validation and prototyping to pilots, market entry, and investor readiness.

Is there any fee for applying to the incubation program?

No. Applying to AIC-KUFOS programs is completely free. Once selected, there may be nominal charges for specific services, but the core incubation program is subsidized by DST-NSTEDB.

Do I need to be in Kerala to apply?

While being based at KUFOS campus in Kochi is preferred during the program, applications are accepted from across India. Remote startups may be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Can student teams apply?

Absolutely! We encourage student entrepreneurs to apply for our Pre-Incubation program. You do not need to have a registered company to apply — you just need a strong idea and committed team.

What domains does AIC-KUFOS support?

We primarily focus on fisheries, aquaculture, marine technology, ocean sciences, coastal sustainability, seafood supply chain, marine biotechnology, IoT for fisheries, and related blue economy sectors.

How long does the selection process take?

From application submission to final selection typically takes 4–6 weeks — including screening, pitch presentations, and due diligence. We aim to communicate results promptly at every stage.
